Synopsis
On February 8, 1955, in a Pennsylvania hospital, an illegitimate baby boy named Greg is born to his 42-year-old unwed mother, Emily Baxter. However, Emily’'s pregnancy did not result from a casual intimate accident; it was secretly planned and conceived with the blessings of Emily’'s pertinent relative family members. Emily had consciously justified the morality of her actions as a selfless gesture to provide a child for her desperate niece, Amy Bradford, who had suffered through several pregnancies which all ended in miscarriages. Emily Baxter and her aligned family constituents had vain aspirations and motivations, which blinded their foresight to the future consequences of this seemingly noble arrangement for conceiving an illegitimate child with familial ties.
These consequences start to manifest shortly after Greg'’s birth and intensify to a repercussive backlash when Emily intentionally provides Greg cryptic clues on his 30th birthday that he was adopted. The clues not only lead Emily’'s son to the discovery of his illegitimate birth and illegal adoption, but also inadvertently open the door to his family’'s hidden ancestral past.
Greg soon learns that the truth comes with a price when his discoveries expose an international network of Templar Knights, who has covertly concealed the breeding and tabulation of an unknown lineal bloodline which has been clandestinely hunted down for extermination by the Vatican for almost 2000 years. As a descendant of the bloodline, Greg is a genetic pawn that has been bred to break down the walls of the Roman Catholic authority, which has perpetually divided and controlled the world populace through contrived wars, manipulated politics and oppositional religious differences. The Order of Knights Templar intends to remove the barriers of religion and borders of national sovereignty to create a New World Order of peace, even if they have to destroy the foundations of human civilization to do so.
Author’s Comments:
I really enjoyed Dan Brown'’s DaVinci Code novel, but I was left hanging with several unanswered questions. Bastard Legacy bridges many of the story gaps of the DaVinci Code. If Dan Brown’'s fictional assertions regarding the Royal Bloodline (Holy Grail) were accurate, then:
1. Who were the other descendants of this bloodline and where did they live?
2. How were the bloodline descendants’' marriages arranged?
3. If the Priory of Sion was not founded until 1099AD, then what organization had the
responsibilities of tabulating the Royal Bloodline before them?
4. How were the 80 generations of Jesus’' descendants hidden from the Roman
Authorities?
5. How could such a small number of segregated, breeding bloodline descendants
survive without succumbing to genetic birth defects?
6. If a pure Royal Bloodline requires both husband and wife to have descended from
divine ancestry, then who was Mary Magdalene?
7. Considering that both Jesus and Mary Magdalene descended from a Royal
Bloodline, then when and where did this ancestry originate from?
8. What was the secret discovery that provided eminent power to the domain of the
Knights Templar?
9. How did the Knights Templar learn about the location of a secret treasure that was
buried beneath the Temple Mount in Jerusalem?
Biography
Gary Brown is the recently published author of Bastard Legacy . Brown grew up as the middle child in a family with three children in Milford, New Jersey, and he has been an electrical design engineer for over 30 years. He has been married to his present wife for 36 years, and they are the parents of two children and one grandchild.
Brown has resided in over 20 different locations throughout North America and dealt with various organizations, people, and cultures from all over the world. Some of these dubious acquaintances included: nefarious personalities in law enforcement, cut-throat attorneys, survivalists, anarchists, and secret societies. On three occasions, Brown has effectively challenged the Federal Justice System as a pro-se litigant with the support of his astute paralegal wife.
Much of Brown's fictional subject matter in his writings reflects his experiences in life. The computer keyboard became his therapy tool to vent his anger. In 2005, Brown's continuing education deviated from engineering and took a diversified path in English to hone his technical and creative writing skills. His unique, yet controversial, writing style was balanced by principles in logic, problem solving and the perspectives that paralleled his life. Brown became inspired by his Lord Fairfax Community College English professor, Dr. Elizabeth Guiliano, who encouraged him to pursue creative writing.
